Key Account Manager II

As a Key Account Manager II, you will play a vital role in driving sales and managing client relationships for Advantage Solutions. You’ll serve as the strategic liaison between our clients—leading manufacturers, vendors, and brands—and our customers, which include top-tier retailers, wholesalers, and distributors. This role is ideal for a high-performing, client-focused sales professional who excels at driving revenue through strategic planning and collaborative execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets and manage expense budgets across assigned client portfolios
  • Execute and manage sales programs, promotional investments, distribution initiatives, and shelf optimization strategies
  • Collaborate directly with clients to develop strategic sales plans aligned with business objectives
  • Lead Headquarter calls with retailer teams including buyers, category managers, and replenishment staff
  • Drive client trade spend decisions and manage contract negotiations and execution with customers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, nurturing strong, long-term relationships
  • Partner with internal teams (Customer Managers, Category Management, Retail Associates, etc.) to ensure client goals are met and exceeded
  • Oversee implementation for a variety of client types:
    • Pioneering Clients: Manufacturers seeking initial distribution
    • Regional Clients: Market-specific engagements
    • Tier 3 Clients: Emerging brands with modest volume and SKUs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5 years of sales, account management, or CPG industry experience preferred
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients or projects simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and trade spend management
  • Highly organized with strong problem-solving ability and customer focus
